Children's Art #1

I hosted my fantastic nephews last week for their first Epic Sleep-over. As you can see, it involved an art project. I like to call these Rorschach Drawings - make a blob with watercolor, let it dry, and then interpret it with line. I find a lot to learn looking at my nephew's work. And I'll be the first to admit that my drawings look embarrassingly timid next to theirs.

  1. Adding this to my list of ideas for my Kindergarten art class at our homeschool co-op! Got any other great art-with-kids ideas you are dying to share with the world?

  2. Hmmmm. . . well, potato prints are fun too, but probably for an older age group. This type of drawing is something I often do for my own sketchbooks. It's a good way to to loosen up.
